Paseo Mallorca
Ben Roberts
Located right in the centre of Palma, Paseo Mallorca 15 is a residential building designed by the OHLAB studio that reinterprets Mediterranean architecture from a contemporary viewpoint. The project stresses the connection with the surroundings, the deliberate use of materials and serene, essential living.
The façade composed of moving wooden slats acts like a living filter of light and shade, granting privacy without severing the relationship with the exterior. This subtle and powerful gesture creates an interplay with the lateral surfaces of the building, dressed in stone, which bring stability and a silent presence. In the interior, the carefully selected materials – natural stone, whitewash, walnut and brass – give shape to a warm and deeply coherent atmosphere.

Font Barcelona is incorporated into this restrained and candid atmosphere with the 5.1 collection in a polished brass finish and patina toggles. The fixtures are not intrusive, rather they are integrated as part of the architectural logic: precise pieces that fit seamlessly, strengthening the identity of the project through detail and everyday functionality. It is a perfect example of how to apply personalised electrical fittings to contemporary housing projects.
